A silicone rubber o-ring gasket is developed around both its ring diameter and circular section. The groove must provide the intended compression while leaving appropriate space for the seal in its installed condition. A larger section cannot simply be substituted to compensate for an uncertain groove fit.
For a warm application, select the silicone formulation using the actual temperature, duration and medium. Evaluate the joint over the relevant operating cycle, including cooling, because the surrounding components and seal may change dimensions differently. Custom sizing allows the ring to follow the groove rather than forcing the groove to accept a nearby nominal size.
During installation, avoid rolling or twisting the ring into place. Check for sharp entry edges that could nick the section before the joint closes. After representative use, inspect the seal for localized flattening, cuts or material pushed into a clearance. The contact pattern can help distinguish an installation problem from a groove or material issue. Any pressure requirement belongs to assessment of the full seal arrangement, including the surrounding clearances and retention features.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
