A cone shape rubber silicone bush grommet uses a tapered outer profile around an internal passage. The taper and bore should be matched to their respective mating surfaces so the part locates without excessively narrowing the opening inside. Custom size and compound choices can suit the intended joint.
Define how far the cone should enter its seat and whether a shoulder limits that movement. Check the bore after the outer region is retained, because the installed condition can differ from the free part. The inner component should remain aligned rather than pressing one end of the bushing sideways. During fitting, avoid using that component to force the cone deeper into a mismatched opening. Inspect for a tilted face or a crease along the wall before putting the assembly into use. Later wear concentrated at only one side of the bore can indicate a seating or alignment issue. Correct it before replacing the bushing with an approximate profile, so the new rubber does not repeat the same localized contact.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The taper and bore should be matched to their respective mating surfaces so the part locates without excessively narrowing the opening inside. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
