Product Overview

A custom plastic rubber pipe plug range can be developed using a selected material and retention profile for the intended pipe. A rigid plastic closure and a flexible rubber plug may need different insertion and removal methods. Their dimensions should be coordinated with the receiving surface and operating role.

Define whether the closure protects an unused pipe during handling or performs an assessed sealing duty in service. The pipe bore, end condition and available depth establish the useful geometry. Material, size and color options can then be selected for the actual exposure and handling.

Evaluate the chosen configuration in the complete pipe end. Do not assume that a rubber profile can be transferred unchanged to a harder material or that both should be fitted with the same force. Inspect for damaged edges, incomplete seating or a plug pushed beyond its intended position. During maintenance, keep variants identified and review any material substitution for the complete interface. Matching the visible head size is not enough to establish equivalent retention or sealing behavior.

Material options
Rubber compound options, customized alongside the profile and contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Solid rubber options: 30–90 Shore A. A rigid plastic closure and a flexible rubber plug may need different insertion and removal methods.
Custom geometry
The pipe bore, end condition and available depth establish the useful geometry.
Fit evaluation
Evaluate the chosen configuration in the complete pipe end.
Color & OEM
Custom colors; OEM identification positioned outside closure contact surfaces.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT

Stopper & Plug Size Catalog

Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.

RST Blind-Hole Plugs

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
