A steering rubber boot covers a defined part of a steering assembly while accommodating its movement. This custom EPDM component needs end profiles that match the actual attachment points and a flexible section suited to the changing distance and angle between them. Fit should be established for the specific assembly.
Review the boot with steering movement taken through the intended range. At each extreme, the folds or flexible wall need clearance from surrounding hardware. A satisfactory centered position does not establish that the boot will remain free from stretching or rubbing elsewhere in the travel. The retaining edges should also stay seated as the middle section changes shape.
EPDM selection must account for the substances present around the boot, including any lubricant that may reach it. Alternative compounds should be evaluated separately for that exposure. During fitting, avoid twisting the boot as an end is secured. Before closing access to the area, confirm that the flexible section rests naturally and that no edge is trapped. Inspect for cuts and displaced seating during subsequent maintenance.

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
