Flat thin rubber washers provide a low profile layer where the assembly has limited space for rubber thickness. Their flexibility makes placement important: a thin edge can fold or shift during closure without producing an obvious increase in overall height. Select the inner and outer dimensions so the washer is fully supported where it needs to make contact.
Consider the joint temperature and the selected compound together. If the mating parts change their gap as they heat, assess the available compression across that cycle. A thin washer should not be expected to compensate for substantial surface damage or a closing face that remains uneven.
Place the part flat and centered before fastening. Keep rotating hardware from dragging the rubber into a crease, and inspect the perimeter where accessible after assembly. During removal, look for cuts around the center hole and a permanently wrinkled region. Preserve the intended thickness during replacement; stacking multiple thin washers can introduce additional movement and change the contact arrangement between the adjoining components.

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
