Custom silicone caps for seal applications cover a defined outside profile with a molded cavity. Plug versions engage an internal opening and need a separate body design. In either arrangement, the stopping surface should establish where the rubber is intended to finish its installation movement.
For a cap, check that a shoulder or raised feature does not prevent full engagement. For a plug, check the depth available behind the hole. The exposed surface should leave a usable gripping area without hiding a folded edge beneath it. Select the formulation for the actual contact medium, temperature, and cleaning process. Keep the working surfaces clean before fitting and assess any sealing requirement in the complete installed configuration. During removal, use the intended handling area rather than pry against a thin contact edge. Replacement should preserve the full body or cavity profile and material so the original stopping and sealing relationships are restored.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Compare inside diameter A with the outside of the part being covered. Check inside depth C and overall dimensions B and D for available clearance. These RSE references show a round cap with one closed end.
43 closed-end cap sizes. A is the inside diameter and C is the usable internal depth; B and D describe the outside envelope.

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
