Selected for the contact, temperature and movement
Define the visible surfaces and intended color
Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
An ID 11mm closure option should be matched to the feature that engages its internal opening. The inside measurement is distinct from the outer size of the cap or the exposed face of a stopper. Custom molding allows the surrounding wall, engagement depth, and handling area to follow the assembly.
Measure the mating end where the cover will sit, including any raised seam, shoulder, or change in section. The cover needs enough internal depth to reach its intended position without stopping prematurely. The surrounding space should also allow the mouth to settle without being folded against a nearby feature.
Select the material and hardness for the contact conditions. A small difference in the internal fit can noticeably affect handling, so compare the complete profile rather than relying on one dimension alone. Fit the component evenly and inspect its edge after installation. During removal, avoid levering against the flexible mouth with a sharp tool. Replace a cover that has split or permanently changed shape with the matching internal geometry and compound.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The inside measurement is distinct from the outer size of the cap or the exposed face of a stopper. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
