Product Overview

A non-standard silicone eye shield is developed around a defined eye-area covering or mask application. The custom outline, contact surfaces, and retaining arrangement need to follow the intended product design. The material should rest in the planned areas without requiring excessive pressure to hold the component in position.

Fit assessment should consider the complete product and the intended wearer range. The nose-side contour, surrounding edges, and any attachment points can affect how the shield sits. The design should not depend on stretching the silicone to make a substantially mismatched shape conform. Any clearance required around the eyes belongs in the same evaluation.

Choose the material configuration for the actual contact duration, substances encountered, and cleaning process. A silicone shield does not by itself establish impact, laser, chemical, or medical protection. Those functions require assessment of the complete product for its intended use.

Keep the contact surfaces clean according to the finished product's care method and inspect thin edges for tears or deformation. If the component becomes uncomfortable or no longer sits in its intended position, address its fit and condition before continued use. Custom size and color should support the defined application rather than imply universal suitability.

Material options
Custom silicone formulation and color for the specified shape and working environment.
Hardness range
20–80 Shore A for silicone. Assess the grade against this fit requirement: The material should rest in the planned areas without requiring excessive pressure to hold the component in position.
Custom profile & fit
The custom outline, contact surfaces, and retaining arrangement need to follow the intended product design.
Assembly considerations
If the component becomes uncomfortable or no longer sits in its intended position, address its fit and condition before continued use.
Design check
Fit assessment should consider the complete product and the intended wearer range.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
