Soft rubber buttons need a molded geometry that allows reliable movement and return within their panel. For a silicone keypad intended to form part of a water-protection design, the moving keys and perimeter contact must both be developed with the enclosure rather than evaluated independently.
Select the material and hardness around the actual interface and exposure. Define the key spacing, underside contacts and retained sheet area together. A soft feel does not establish a sealing rating, and the waterproof description requires evaluation in the finished equipment.
Test realistic input sequences after the housing is secured, looking for keys affected by compression near the panel edge. Assess the complete enclosure under its required exposure conditions. During servicing, restore the sheet to its locating features and inspect the mating perimeter for residue or damage. Keep replacement geometry and formulation matched to the designated assembly so changing key softness does not inadvertently alter the surrounding contact or operating travel.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
