Soft touch silicone rubber keypads provide a flexible control surface that can be customized for the product interface. The molded layout should fit the housing and the switch positions, while the visible face is shaped for normal finger contact. Surface feel is one aspect of the design, distinct from the force and travel of the assembled key.
Check how the membrane is supported and how far each key moves before operating the switch. A soft material can still feel restricted if the housing aperture rubs against the cap or the edge is overclamped. The underlying mechanism and board position also influence the result.
Evaluate the keypad in the completed enclosure rather than by squeezing the loose part. Test individual and adjacent controls from the normal operating angle, looking for incomplete return or accidental neighboring presses. Keep the underside free of particles during assembly. Select the compound and finish for the actual cleaning routine, and remove residue gently from the visible surface so the intended feel and any function markings remain usable over time.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
