Soft silicone rubber O rings form a compressible ring within a custom sealing arrangement. The selected diameter and cross section should correspond to the receiving groove, while the compound hardness is chosen for the intended joint. A softer feel does not automatically mean that more compression is beneficial.
The groove needs enough space for the rubber to deform when the adjoining parts close. Excessive squeeze or an unsuitable gap can pinch the ring, while insufficient contact can leave it unable to perform its intended sealing role. Consider the pressure, movement, medium, and temperature as part of the complete design rather than selecting by touch alone.
Install the ring cleanly without twist, keeping it seated while the mating parts are brought together. Avoid stretching it unnecessarily or pulling it across a sharp feature. Check the finished assembly for the required operation under its actual conditions. When servicing the seal, inspect the groove for damage and remove residue before fitting another ring so the replacement has the intended support around its circumference.

Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
