An EPDM small damper can provide a compliant interface where the housing leaves limited room for a mounting component. The available space needs to accommodate the rubber in its working shape, not merely its loose outline. Nearby covers and fasteners should stay clear of the region intended to deform.
Custom dimensions and material options allow the part to match the supported component. Define the load direction and installed position before choosing the profile. The selected EPDM formulation should suit the temperature, fluids and environmental exposure at that location.
Evaluate the complete assembly after final fastening. Check that the rubber has not been squeezed into a narrow gap and that the supported part can move as intended without reaching a rigid edge. During inspection, a repeated crease or polished contact mark can identify an area with insufficient clearance. Review the seat and surrounding hardware before simply selecting a smaller or harder damper. A compact part still needs a deliberate load path and enough space to work.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. An EPDM small damper can provide a compliant interface where the housing leaves limited room for a mounting component. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
