An EPDM rubber damper can be custom developed for a support where the selected formulation suits the operating environment. The body dimensions and attachment should follow the equipment's movement and loading. Wear assessment needs to include surrounding contact surfaces rather than only the rubber compound.
Inspect the space around the mount throughout its intended action. A nearby edge may rub the body repeatedly even though it clears at rest. The attachment should keep the working section aligned without twisting it toward another component.
Fit through the equipment's specified arrangement and evaluate the complete setup under normal conditions. Keep required clearances after servicing adjacent parts. During maintenance, look for polished areas, cuts, or uneven deformation that reveal recurring contact, and inspect the corresponding hardware.
