A nitrile rubber grommet can be molded around the opening and cable passage of a particular assembly. Silicone is another material option in this product offering. The appropriate compound should follow the actual fluid, temperature, and environmental exposure rather than being selected from appearance alone.
Define the panel groove and the center passage independently. The first establishes how the grommet retains in the opening, while the second accommodates the routed component. Panel thickness and cable outside size both need to be included so that one fit is not achieved at the expense of the other.
Install the grommet in a prepared opening without cutting the retaining edge. After routing the cable, inspect for a lifted lip or a passage pulled sideways. Secure the cable according to the assembly design. During maintenance, keep material variants separated when they share a similar molded shape. Replace a worn component with the specified compound and geometry, particularly if the grommet has been exposed to fluids that differ from those in another installation.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Panel thickness and cable outside size both need to be included so that one fit is not achieved at the expense of the other. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
