Silicone rubber dampers for a medical device assembly should be developed to preserve the intended position and clearance of the supported component. The mount's working geometry depends on load and fastening, so evaluation should include the actual device structure. A loose molded part cannot establish the final support behavior.
Custom shape, dimensions, color and material options allow the damper to follow the application. Define the direction of deformation and the space available around it. The selected formulation should suit the device's environment and relevant cleaning or processing requirements.
Check the completed assembly under representative mechanical conditions. Look for contact with neighboring parts, an attachment that twists the silicone or uneven compression across the support. Any device specific performance requirements need assessment at the finished product level. During service, inspect the mounting seat and rubber for damage before replacement. Preserve the developed configuration so a similar looking component with a different working height or compound is not introduced inadvertently. Follow the equipment's established maintenance process when evaluating a removed damper for reuse.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Look for contact with neighboring parts, an attachment that twists the silicone or uneven compression across the support. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
