A custom rubber blind grommet closes a panel opening with a continuous center and a retaining profile around the edge. Silicone versions can be shaped to the cutout and selected in a color that suits the enclosure. The closed center should remain supported while the outer groove engages the panel thickness.
Establish the opening dimensions and the available fitting access on both sides. A head that covers the hole may hide a rear lip that has not reached its seat. Install the grommet progressively and inspect the perimeter, especially in the area least visible from the working side. The panel edge should be smooth so it does not cut the rubber during insertion.
Use the intact center for the intended blanking function. If the opening later becomes a cable route, select a passage design suited to the cable rather than making an uncontrolled cut in the blind part. Material and hardness should reflect the enclosure environment and removal requirements. After servicing, inspect the center and retaining area before returning the closure to its seat.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The closed center should remain supported while the outer groove engages the panel thickness. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
