Match the attachment and installation method
White rubber hole plugs and sealing caps can provide visible closures at small openings in a matching assembly. The light-colored finish can suit the product appearance or help distinguish a part, but the fitting body and seating depth still determine whether the cap is correctly retained.
Develop the silicone or rubber profile around the actual opening, including the clearance beneath the exposed head. Custom shapes and dimensions can follow that interface. Select the material according to the contact and environment rather than treating white color as a specific formulation or approval.
Place the cap squarely and inspect the perimeter after fitting. A head sitting flat against the face may still hide an incorrectly engaged section below, so check the retained fit during sample evaluation. During service, keep small removed caps separated from similar components and examine the underside before reuse. If the part becomes loose or changes shape, compare the opening and selected material with the intended configuration before substituting another visually similar closure.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. Develop the silicone or rubber profile around the actual opening, including the clearance beneath the exposed head. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
