A tube end sealing cap plug is customized around the surface used to close the tube. An outside-fitting cap engages the tube exterior, while an inserting plug engages the bore. Choosing that interface first makes the relevant dimensions clear and helps avoid a closure that fits one surface but interferes with another.
For an outside fit, consider the exterior finish and any nearby bend or fitting that limits the cap length. For an internal fit, check the bore, wall thickness and condition of the cut end. The required removal access should also be included in the geometry so the closure remains serviceable once the surrounding assembly is complete.
Material, hardness and color are customizable. Evaluate the chosen rubber with the contents or residues it may encounter and with the intended cleaning method. Fit the closure onto a prepared end and inspect the entire contact boundary. A longer engagement is useful only when it follows a suitable surface; it cannot correct damage or an irregular edge at the tube mouth.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. An outside-fitting cap engages the tube exterior, while an inserting plug engages the bore. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
