Custom square silicone cable grommets fit shaped openings in medical equipment where a cable needs separation from the surrounding panel edge. The square exterior should match the cutout, while the center accommodates the actual cable route. Side dimensions, corner transitions, and the retaining groove all contribute to the fitted position.
Inspect the panel corners before installation. A burr or a corner radius that differs from the rubber profile can prevent even seating. Fit the grommet progressively and check the rear lip wherever access allows. The cable should not be routed so tightly that it lifts one corner after the outer shape has been installed.
Select the silicone formulation for the specific equipment location, cleaning process, and relevant contact conditions. The square appearance alone does not establish a medical or electrical protection level. Evaluate the complete device interface for those requirements. During servicing, keep the bore clean and preserve the intended cable support so that the jacket remains separated from the panel. Replace damaged parts with the matching corner and groove geometry as well as the correct material.
