A soft silicone washer can form a thin custom gasket between mating components. Its outline, opening and thickness should follow the supported contact area in the joint. Thin material needs careful location during assembly because a folded edge can change the local thickness and prevent the faces from meeting as intended.
Set the washer onto a clean mating surface and check the perimeter before closing the joint. If the part has a nonstandard shape, make sure narrow regions are not dragged out of position by a fastener or moving cover. Avoid stacking extra washers to compensate for a gap that belongs in the joint design.
For oil related use, select the finished silicone formulation according to the particular fluid and operating conditions. Softness does not establish fluid compatibility. Inspect the washer when the joint is opened, looking for cuts, wrinkling or a permanently compressed region. Lift it without scraping across the sealing face, and replace a damaged thin section rather than attempting to flatten it back into service.

Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
