Molded medical silicone rubber parts are custom components developed for integration into a particular device. Their geometry, size and color can follow the assembly, while the silicone formulation must be selected for the intended contact and operating conditions. The molded part should be assessed within that device rather than treated as a universally suitable medical component.
Begin with the surfaces that locate the part and the function they serve. A sealing region, hand-contact surface and flexible moving section impose different requirements. Distinguish the dimensions that control those interfaces from areas whose main purpose is appearance or clearance.
Include the device's processing and cleaning conditions when selecting the formulation. Where patient contact or sterilization applies, evaluate the exact material and finished component for that use. These requirements belong to the specified device and cannot be inferred solely from silicone construction.
During assembly development, check the part with the actual mating components and intended fastening conditions. Keep handling contamination controlled and preserve the identity of different formulations or revisions. Inspect for pinching, deformation or incomplete seating before the assembly proceeds. A later change to the silicone compound or mating geometry should be reviewed as a device component change, even when the new part has the same outside color and broadly similar shape.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Where patient contact or sterilization applies, evaluate the exact material and finished component for that use. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
