An angled rubber grommet lets the entry geometry follow a cable approaching a panel obliquely. Its oval layout makes rotational position part of the fit, so the part should be oriented to the cable route before the retaining edge is fully seated. Forcing the cable toward a poorly aligned passage can distort the insert and press the insulation against one side of the opening.
The cutout length, width, corner shape, and panel thickness all contribute to retention. Measure the finished surface, including coatings, and check how much room remains behind the panel for the cable bend. A fitting that looks tidy from the front may be folded underneath if the rear space is too small.
Use the rubber interface as part of the overall vibration management design, with cable supports positioned to avoid transferring continuous pull into the entry. Assess movement on the assembled equipment rather than assigning isolation performance from the material alone. During maintenance, preserve the original orientation and check the hidden lip before returning the equipment to service.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The cutout length, width, corner shape, and panel thickness all contribute to retention. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
