Product Overview

A conductive silicone button combines a flexible pressing surface with a switching interface intended to meet the matching circuit area. Custom silicone keypads can group these buttons into a common layout or use a smaller control format. The relationship between the molded keys and the electrical contact positions is central to the finished operation.

Alignment should be maintained after the keypad is seated in its enclosure. A key that looks centered from above may still be offset relative to the contact beneath it. Locating features, internal supports, and the panel openings need to hold the complete arrangement in its intended position. Evaluate every key rather than assuming that one successful press establishes the fit of the whole group.

During operation, the contact should engage through the designed key movement and separate when the key is released. Include presses near the edge of the key and successive presses across neighboring controls in the assembled assessment. The rubber should return freely without an enclosure edge dragging against it.

Keep the contact side protected from handling residue and particles before assembly. Surface markings can be customized by printing or molded details to identify the controls, while colors can help distinguish groups. The finished circuit and keypad together determine the electrical behavior; a conductive button alone does not define the operating characteristics of the complete control system.

Material options

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
