A small silicone rubber bushing has an outside interface with its seat and an inside interface with the component passing through it. Both need suitable dimensions. Custom molding allows the passage, outer shape, length, and material hardness to be developed around the assembly rather than selected from the exposed face alone.
Measure the surrounding opening and the center component separately. A bushing can fit the outer seat yet distort when an oversized part is inserted through its passage. Available axial space also matters, particularly where a nearby shoulder controls the final position.
Choose the formulation for the actual temperature and contact conditions. Guide the bushing into its intended seat without twisting or nicking the edge, then check both ends for folding. Secure adjacent components through the assembly's designed arrangement. During maintenance, inspect the inner passage and retained region for wear or permanent changes in shape. Match the complete internal and external profile when replacing the part so that the original compact interface remains aligned.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Available axial space also matters, particularly where a nearby shoulder controls the final position. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
