Selected for the contact, temperature and movement
Define the visible surfaces and intended color
Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
Colored rubber covers can be molded to fit the ends or openings of custom components. Size, shape, and color can be coordinated with the assembly, allowing different closure versions to remain visually distinct. The internal contact profile still needs to match the particular receiving feature.
If color identifies a version, keep it associated with the correct dimensions and compound. Two covers that look similar may differ in depth, wall thickness, or retaining shape. Check the actual mating feature before installation rather than assuming that the visible color proves compatibility.
Fit the cover over a clean surface and inspect its edge for rolling or uneven seating. The rubber should not be stretched far beyond its intended profile to accommodate an oversized component. Select the material for the substances and temperatures the cover will encounter, including cleaning. During reuse, inspect the contact area for tears or permanent deformation. A replacement should preserve both the dimensional fit and the intended color identification so the assembly remains easy to recognize and service.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Compare inside diameter A with the outside of the part being covered. Check inside depth C and overall dimensions B and D for available clearance. These RSE references show a round cap with one closed end.
43 closed-end cap sizes. A is the inside diameter and C is the usable internal depth; B and D describe the outside envelope.

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
