A sealing cap needs contact along its skirt as well as enough internal clearance to settle over the component. These silicone rubber seal caps can be customized around that relationship, with the molded geometry defining where the cap grips and where it remains clear of the enclosed end.
For selection, compare the component's largest outside dimension with the cap opening, then check the length of the mating surface. An excessively deep cap can interfere with neighboring features, while shallow engagement may leave it vulnerable to displacement. Corners, shoulders, and end chamfers should be included when developing the fit.
The material choice should reflect the expected heat and cleaning exposure rather than relying on appearance or softness alone. Install the cap without rolling its skirt inward, and check the complete circumference after fitting. If the assembly is opened regularly, examine the same edge during maintenance because repeated removal concentrates handling there. Keep the mating area clean so that trapped particles do not interrupt the intended contact between the flexible cap and the underlying surface.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Compare inside diameter A with the outside of the part being covered. Check inside depth C and overall dimensions B and D for available clearance. These RSE references show a round cap with one closed end.
43 closed-end cap sizes. A is the inside diameter and C is the usable internal depth; B and D describe the outside envelope.

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
