Product Overview

A flat fender washer has a broad surrounding area relative to its center opening. In this custom silicone rubber seal form, the outer diameter and section should follow the surface that supports the washer. A large visible face only contributes usefully where the mating parts contact it as intended.

Check the central fastener or locating feature and the clearance around it. The opening needs to match without being forced over an oversized section. At the outside edge, make sure the washer does not bridge an unsupported recess or interfere with another component.

Select the material for the joint's conditions and the thickness for its designed compression. A rubber washer should not be treated as a substitute for structural hardware required by the assembly. Install it flat and use the intended fastening arrangement to keep loading controlled. During maintenance, inspect the area near the center opening for cuts and the outer region for distortion. Match both diameters and the section when replacing it rather than choosing solely by the fastener size.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
