Match the attachment and installation method
A custom m3 rubber vibration damper uses a threaded attachment within a compliant mounting arrangement. M3 identifies the fastening size, while the rubber profile establishes working height and deformation space. The complete support system determines the resulting vibration behavior.
Define thread engagement and clearance behind the mounting surface before selecting the custom dimensions. The supported load should reach the rubber through its intended contact region, without nearby hardware making an unintended rigid connection. Material and hardness need to suit both the mechanical duty and environmental exposure.
Check the finished assembly after tightening. The rubber should not begin operation twisted or compressed beyond the developed position. Evaluate representative movement and inspect for contact with surrounding rigid features. During maintenance, examine thread security separately from permanent deformation in the body. If the same area repeatedly splits or leans, review alignment and load distribution before choosing another hardness. A replacement should preserve the intended attachment geometry as well as the M3 thread.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The supported load should reach the rubber through its intended contact region, without nearby hardware making an unintended rigid connection. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a connection type, then compare body dimensions and metric threads. D, H and L are in millimeters; H excludes projecting studs. The M designation identifies the metric thread.
157 sizes with a male stud at each end. Compare body diameter D, body height H, thread size and projecting stud length L.
