Selected for the contact, temperature and movement
Define the visible surfaces and intended color
Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
Custom silicone caps and rubber stoppers should be developed around the interfaces they close. A cap engages an outside surface, while a plug or stopper enters an opening. The corresponding dimensions need to describe that fit rather than only the exposed top of the component.
For a cover, check the mating end over its full engagement length and include any lip or shoulder. For an inserted closure, define the bore, usable depth, and retaining or stopping feature. Leave practical access for removal in either arrangement once surrounding parts are installed.
Select the compound for the actual temperature and substances. Fit on clean surfaces and inspect the contact edge for folding or an uneven seat. During maintenance, keep removed variants identified by their intended positions and check for damage before reuse. Replace with the required internal or external profile rather than forcing a similar-looking closure onto another interface. The completed assembly determines its intended sealing and operating conditions.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. For a cover, check the mating end over its full engagement length and include any lip or shoulder. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
