Silicone rubber keypads can integrate a group of buttons into a single molded sheet, reducing the number of loose pieces handled during assembly. The sheet still needs accurate location: every button must arrive at its panel opening while the corresponding underside feature meets the intended board position.
A custom keyboard design should establish its reference points early. Locating holes, edge restraints, and support areas need to work together without stretching the sheet into place. If the board and enclosure each position the keypad differently, tightening the assembly can introduce distortion that is difficult to see from the outside.
Check fit across the entire layout rather than judging it from one central button. Small alignment errors can become more apparent at the far ends of a wider sheet. Press the outer controls after the housing is fully secured and look for rubbing or uneven return. During servicing, note how the sheet seats before removing it, then keep its underside away from loose hardware and sharp edges. Correct reseating is as important as preserving the visible button surfaces.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
