A thin washer used in a silicone rubber gasket arrangement needs careful seating because its edge can fold or shift as the joint closes. The limited thickness should suit the available space, but it also means the mating surfaces and locating arrangement are important to achieving the intended contact.
Choose the inner and outer dimensions for a fully supported ring. The washer should not be stretched over an incompatible feature merely to hold it during assembly. Check for surface irregularities that the selected thin section cannot accommodate appropriately, rather than assuming any flexible ring will fill the gap.
Position the washer flat and watch its edge as the components meet. Evaluate waterproof performance on the complete joint under the specified conditions. After disassembly, inspect for a folded section, cuts, and an uneven contact pattern that may reveal displacement during closure. A damaged thin ring should not be flattened by hand and reused without assessing its condition, since the original working profile may not recover after pinching.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
