An electrical cord grommet protects the cord where it crosses an enclosure opening. ETOL produces nonstandard versions for customer-specific geometry, allowing the protective profile to match a cutout that is not served by a simple standard ring. The rubber boundary helps prevent direct rubbing against rough panel edges.
For a custom exit, examine how the cord approaches the wall from inside the enclosure. Nearby internal components may limit the available bend or make the cord pull diagonally through the passage. Include that route in the fit assessment so the grommet is not distorted as soon as the enclosure is closed.
The cord diameter and panel thickness are only part of the specification. The external flange must clear neighboring features, and the internal profile must allow assembly without scraping the jacket. A protective grommet is not automatically a cord anchorage; any required resistance to pulling needs a suitable retention arrangement.
Before final assembly, remove sharp edges and check that the cord can follow its intended path without levering the grommet out. Inspect the exit after the enclosure is closed, since internal routing pressure may become visible only then.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The external flange must clear neighboring features, and the internal profile must allow assembly without scraping the jacket. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
