A rubber jar gasket can be developed in silicone or EPDM as separate material configurations, even when the molded outlines are identical. The correct choice depends on the contents and the conditions used to clean or process the container. A replacement should preserve that material identity alongside its fit.
Consider all contact stages rather than the stored contents alone. A cleaner or warm processing step may present a different exposure from ordinary storage. The finished formulation must be appropriate for that complete sequence and for the intended food contact where applicable. Neither rubber family name establishes suitability for every jar use.
Keep versions separated when several jars or lid designs are serviced together. A ring that appears to fit a neighboring lid can still have a different section or compound. Refit the evaluated configuration and check its position before the closure is used. If the rubber changes shape or surface condition, review the actual substances and process reaching it. Do not change to another material solely to recover the original appearance without assessing the container's complete requirements.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The finished formulation must be appropriate for that complete sequence and for the intended food contact where applicable. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
