A rubber flange bushing uses its projecting flange to define a seated edge against the receiving surface. That feature can cover the perimeter of an opening, but waterproof or dustproof performance depends on the complete fit, including the central passage and adjoining parts. A wide flange alone does not establish a sealed assembly.
Match the body to the receiving bore and the flange to the available supporting face. If the surrounding surface is stepped or uneven, part of the flange may remain lifted. The installed compression should allow the intended contact without folding the rubber under the mounting edge.
Check seating around the full circumference and inspect the inside passage after the mating component is fitted. Evaluate any ingress requirement under the intended conditions of use. During servicing, look beneath accessible flange edges for trapped debris and check whether movement has pulled the bushing from its seat. Refitting should restore the original geometry rather than rely on extra pressure against an incorrectly matched opening.

Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
