Product Overview

Molded silicone bellows for food-related equipment combine a flexible folded body with a silicone formulation selected for the actual process. The corrugations allow a change in shape, but they also create recesses that should remain accessible for inspection and cleaning.

Start by distinguishing a protective cover from a component that directly contacts a product. Those roles place different demands on the material and attachment arrangement. The food grade wording in the product name does not by itself establish suitability for every food, cleaning chemical or process temperature.

ETOL offers changes to the bellows structure and dimensions, with color and hardness choices for custom production. Evaluate the end connections as part of the finished assembly: a fold pattern that moves freely can still be difficult to clean if a surrounding bracket blocks access to its roots.

Allow the bellows to return to a relaxed shape during inspection so residue or damage between the folds is easier to see. Use cleaning methods compatible with the chosen silicone formulation, and avoid scraping deposits away with sharp edges. Before returning the component to use, check that the attachment areas are seated and that no fold has been trapped beneath a fixing.

Material options
Custom silicone compound; formulation and geometry developed together.
Hardness selection
Silicone options: 20–80 Shore A. Before returning the component to use, check that the attachment areas are seated and that no fold has been trapped beneath a fixing.

Color & OEM
Custom colors; identification clear of folds and end connections.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
