This silicone plug is offered for a nominal 13 mm opening in a closure project with food-contact requirements. Its fit and material need to suit the actual use, including the contents, contact temperature and cleaning routine. The outside appearance of a molded stopper does not establish compatibility with every food or process.
Check the opening and the plug profile together. The insertion section should engage at the intended depth without leaving a fold that traps residue. If the closure is opened for cleaning, its removal method should allow access without damaging the seating edge or the mating component.
ETOL can customize dimensions, hardness, color and compound for the specified requirements. The selected formulation must be appropriate to the intended contact conditions; no additional approval or unrestricted temperature capability should be inferred from the general product name.
Evaluate the closure in its normal orientation and follow the finished equipment's cleaning procedure. Inspect the plug after removal for deposits, cuts or a lasting change in shape, and keep cleaned parts separate from dirty tools during refitting. A replacement should preserve the agreed material and seating profile as well as the nominal opening size. This keeps the closure specification connected to its actual contact and maintenance conditions.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. Body depth and the accessible seating edge guide the profile of a plug for the nominal 13 mm opening. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
