A half grommet hook cushion provides a shaped rubber contact area for a matching hook or open support geometry. Unlike a complete ring, its open profile needs a clear orientation so the material covers the region that actually touches the supported part.
Compare the hook section with the cushion's inner shape and check the clearance at both open ends. The part should remain located during the normal contact action without rolling away from the intended surface. An oblong outline should be matched in section as well as in overall length.
ETOL can customize the profile, hardness and material. Evaluate the cushion with the real mating parts rather than judging retention while it is held by hand. The rubber contact layer does not establish the load capacity of the hook assembly. During maintenance, inspect the open ends for tears and check that the cushion has not migrated. If it continually moves, review the locating features and force direction before attempting to secure it with an unapproved adhesive or substitute profile.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Unlike a complete ring, its open profile needs a clear orientation so the material covers the region that actually touches the supported part. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
