A half grommet hook cushion should occupy the intended contact region of its mating hook or support. The partial profile needs defined retention so it stays positioned when the adjoining component moves against it. An oblong shape can follow an elongated feature, but the length, width, and end geometry must correspond to that actual seat.
Identify where force enters the rubber and where the opposite side is supported. The cushion should not bridge a sharp edge or leave the expected contact beyond its covered region. Select the compound for the local temperature, substances, and repeated handling.
Fit in the intended orientation without stretching the profile into place. Check the complete assembly through its relevant movement to confirm the contact stays on the rubber. During maintenance, look for migration or wear concentrated at an exposed end. Correct the retaining or alignment condition before replacement rather than simply using a tighter part that may distort the cushion and leave another section unsupported.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. An oblong shape can follow an elongated feature, but the length, width, and end geometry must correspond to that actual seat. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
