Silicone prototype keypads can be developed around a single control whose operating face and retained base need a custom shape. The prototype should reproduce the intended housing support and mechanism relationship. Material selection should also reflect the actual temperature and cleaning conditions of the final device.
Check the rest position before assessing the press. The closed housing should not hold the control partly operated, and the flexible section needs space throughout its stroke. An angled touch can reveal side interference that does not appear during a centered press.
Use the assembled observations to define the face height, supporting geometry, and selected hardness. Keep locating features consistent between evaluations and avoid stretching the prototype into alignment. During handling, protect the flexible edge from sharp tools and keep contact regions clean. If the device layout changes, assess the revised assembly rather than assuming the previous feel remains. The useful prototype represents the complete single-button interface, including its supports and required environment.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The closed housing should not hold the control partly operated, and the flexible section needs space throughout its stroke. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
