Custom conductive rubber silicone buttons create a physical control interface with conductive contact areas suited to the underlying circuit. They can be used in tailored keypads for remote controls, toys, automotive controls, electronic equipment, or industrial machinery. The molded shape and contact arrangement should be selected for the specific control assembly.
The contact needs to reach its intended area as the button moves. Support beneath the keypad, clearance around the visible key, and alignment within the housing all influence that path. A key that tilts because the rubber sheet shifts may behave differently from one that is supported in the intended position. Assess the assembled control using the actual circuit and enclosure.
Custom color and button geometry can help organize different functions, but their positions must remain coordinated with the contact layout. Include presses near accessible edges and successive presses on adjacent controls during evaluation. Handle the underside carefully to avoid transferring residue to the conductive areas. On the user side, clean accumulated dirt around the keys gently so that the moving rubber remains free to return after release.
