Product Overview

A special-shape rubber gasket can include branches, narrow bridges, and differently sized openings within one molded outline. Those details need a clear orientation in the assembly. A nearly symmetrical shape may appear to fit when reversed while placing one small opening or bridge in the wrong location.

Choose a reliable locating feature and use it to establish the starting position. Check the farthest feature from that point before placing the mating cover. This helps reveal a reversed or rotated part without pulling the flexible outline across the seat to make it appear aligned.

Support delicate extensions when moving the gasket from storage to the assembly. Let each section settle naturally rather than leaving its weight hanging from a thin bridge. The material and working thickness must suit the actual joint conditions. If the gasket is removed for service, keep its orientation identifiable and inspect the narrow transitions before reuse. A replacement should reproduce all functional openings, including small ones that are easy to overlook when comparing only the outer silhouette.

Material options
Rubber. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Rubber: 30–90 Shore A. Choose the rubber grade with narrow bridges and projecting branches supported, allowing the irregular gasket to compress without pulling those features aside.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
