Product Overview

A thick rubber washer gasket provides an annular rubber layer around a matching opening or fixing. Its thickness creates space for deformation, but also affects the assembled height and the travel required to compress the joint. The design should account for that movement rather than selecting thickness only to fill a visible gap.

ETOL offers custom inner and outer dimensions, rubber material, hardness and color. Match the central opening to the component passing through it, then check that the outer area is supported by the mating faces. Unsupported rubber can move outward as the joint is tightened, changing the contact around the hole.

Where a fastener passes through the washer, consider the complete fastening arrangement and the intended compression control. More tightening force can distort the rubber or adjacent parts without correcting a poorly matched geometry. Follow the assembly's specified method and inspect the washer after the joint reaches its final position.

For replacement, compare both the original design dimensions and the available joint space. A used washer may remain compressed after removal and therefore give a misleading thickness measurement. Clean the faces and inspect the bore edge for damage before placing the new gasket into the joint.

Material options
Rubber. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Rubber: 30–90 Shore A. The design should account for that movement rather than selecting thickness only to fill a visible gap.
Custom dimensions

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
