Product Overview

Round tool foot protectors provide a custom rubber contact component at the base or support of a tool. The molded geometry should suit the attachment point and the surface on which the tool rests. Internal clearance and the floor-facing shape work together to establish the seated position.

Inspect the support before fitting the protector. A projecting fastener, seam, or damaged edge can stop the foot early or load it from inside. The protector should reach its intended position without being forced over an obstruction that the design does not accommodate.

Once fitted, check the complete tool for stable contact across its support points. A replacement with a different base height can alter that relationship even if its diameter looks correct. Keep the underside clean, especially where small workshop particles can collect. During maintenance, examine the retained region and the outer edge for cuts or movement. Match the original attachment profile when replacing a protector, and use the tool's designed mounting method rather than modifying the rubber around nearby hardware.

Material options
Custom silicone or rubber formulation, with dimensions and color adapted to the mating component.
Hardness range
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A; rubber: 30–90 Shore A. Assess the grade against this fit requirement: A projecting fastener, seam, or damaged edge can stop the foot early or load it from inside.
Custom profile & fit
Match the original attachment profile when replacing a protector, and use the tool's designed mounting method rather than modifying the rubber around nearby hardware.
Assembly considerations
Internal clearance and the floor-facing shape work together to establish the seated position.
Design check
Inspect the support before fitting the protector.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
