Round rubber tips fit the ends of chair legs to provide a flexible floor contact. The custom receiving diameter should match the leg, while the internal depth determines how far the tip seats. The outer footprint and bottom thickness then establish the finished support position.
Measure the leg at the actual fitting area. A tube may have a seam, flare, or end feature that changes the fit compared with its nominal diameter. The tip should reach its intended depth without folding at the rim or resting on an obstruction inside.
Fit corresponding tips consistently and check the chair on a level surface. An angled leg may require a contact profile suited to its stance rather than a generic flat end. Keep the floor contact faces clean and remove trapped grit before moving the chair. If a tip starts slipping off or wearing through one side, inspect the leg alignment and seating as well as the rubber. A correct replacement should restore the intended contact height and retention.
