A rubber O-ring and gasket must be selected for the geometry of the joint in which each is used. Custom material and dimensions allow the component to follow that interface. The seat should be inspected alongside the seal, particularly when replacement follows recurring leakage or visible damage.
Check the contact surfaces for deposits, scratches, or a feature that pinches the rubber during closure. An O-ring groove and a flat gasket face control their sections differently. Preserve the required profile rather than switching ring forms to hide a problem in the mating parts.
Choose the formulation for the actual medium, temperature, and cleaning process. Install cleanly without twisting or stretching the component beyond its intended fit. Use the assembly's specified closing arrangement. During subsequent maintenance, compare any recurring damage with the corresponding seat location. A matching replacement restores the designed interface; adding thickness or changing softness without assessing the joint can alter its closing geometry without resolving the underlying cause.

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
