A rubber buffer with screw attachment creates a retained compliant contact point within a matching assembly. The screw should locate the body so the opposing part meets its intended face. An attachment that is secure but offset can leave a thin edge receiving most of the contact.
Check the screw's receiving feature and usable engagement before fitting. The body should not be twisted to force alignment, and the surrounding space must allow the intended deformation.
