Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
Custom butyl rubber stoppers provide molded closures whose working geometry should remain defined after the surrounding assembly is secured. The inserted body, shoulder, and exposed head each have a role in the fit. A cap variant needs a separate internal profile for the outside surface it covers.
Assess the stopper at its final retained position. The rubber may sit differently once an additional cap, housing, or other retaining component is fitted. Check that the contact area remains supported and that the body has not been pushed into an unintended gap. The installation method should place force through the designed surface rather than a thin edge.
For medical use, select the butyl formulation according to the actual contact medium and processing conditions. The required consistency should be evaluated through the complete use sequence, including storage or repeated handling where relevant. Keep contact surfaces clean before fitting and inspect them after removal. A replacement should match the original profile and material configuration so that the assembled closure relationship is restored, not merely its visible appearance.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The inserted body, shoulder, and exposed head each have a role in the fit. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
