High temperature silicone plugs require a formulation matched to the actual exposure at the opening being closed. Peak temperature, duration and repeated cycling can all matter to the finished part. A general silicone description should not be used to infer an extreme temperature capability for every plug.
Select the insertion profile around the receiving bore and the required seating depth. The plug must maintain its intended position through the process conditions without contacting an internal obstruction or becoming inaccessible for removal. Any pressure or sealing duty needs evaluation separately within the complete joint.
Keep the receiving edge smooth to avoid damage during fitting. Handling and removal should follow the process conditions and the state of the surrounding part. Before reuse, inspect the contact area for cuts and permanent distortion, and check whether the original fit has changed. A plug that has hardened, torn or lost its intended shape should not be treated as equivalent to a new part simply because it can still be pushed into the opening.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
