Product Overview

Rubber tip protectors cover chair leg ends and provide a replaceable contact surface at the floor. A custom fit can follow the leg shape and the depth available for the cap. When an existing tip wears through or becomes loose, the replacement needs to restore the intended support height as well as cover the exposed end.

Compare the remaining feet before replacing only one. Differences in height or base shape can make the chair rock, even when the new protector fits its leg correctly. Check the leg ends for burrs or damage that could shorten the life of the replacement from inside.

Seat each tip fully and place the chair on a level surface to inspect the contact points. The caps should remain located when the chair is lifted and repositioned. Clean the bases periodically, removing grit before it becomes pressed into the rubber. Floor grip varies with the surface and contamination, so maintain the contact areas and avoid assuming that any rubber tip will prevent all sliding during use.

Material options
Custom rubber compound and color, selected for the contact conditions and required geometry.
Hardness range
30–90 Shore A for rubber. Compare firmness under load at the intended contact face. Differences in height or base shape can make the chair rock, even when the new protector fits its leg correctly.
Custom profile & fit
A custom fit can follow the leg shape and the depth available for the cap.
Assembly considerations
Seat each tip fully and place the chair on a level surface to inspect the contact points.
Design check
Check the leg ends for burrs or damage that could shorten the life of the replacement from inside.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
