A standard grommet can simplify a repeat panel design when its groove, bore and flange match the intended opening. The benefit comes from using a defined profile consistently, not from assuming that any similar ring belongs to the same specification.
Check the finished cutout rather than only the nominal panel drawing. Local thickness changes, an unfinished edge or a nearby obstruction can affect seating. The cable assembly also needs enough passage clearance at the stage when it is installed.
ETOL offers material and dimensional customization where a standard profile does not suit the application. If the panel design changes, compare the new interface with the approved grommet instead of stretching the existing part into the altered hole. During assembly, inspect the rear flange before access is closed off. Keep the selected profile identified with the product configuration so replacement parts retain the intended groove width and internal opening. Repeated displacement should prompt a fit review rather than being accepted as normal behavior of a flexible ring.
